The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in Sept. 2004. The department offer four year degree course as B.Tech. in Computer Sc. & Engineering with sanction intake of 60 students. The Department has increase the intake of 120 Student with the year 2008. The Department has a comprehensive curriculum on topics related to all aspects of Computer Hardware and Software with an emphasis on practical learning and provides an outstanding research environment complemented by excellence in teaching. The course structure is up-to-date and includes courses on nascent topics to equip our students with the latest developments in Computer Science and Engineering.
Engineering candidate for admission in B.Tech 1st year computer Science should have passed the intermediate or equivalent(10+2) and comply the eligibility criteria detailed in UPSEE information brochure. Diploma holders in Engineering/Technology or B.Sc. that is 20% of total intake (24 student) can seek admission directly in the Second Year (3rd semester) of B.Tech. Degree Course and comply the eligibility criteria in UPSEE information brochure.
The department has well qualified, experienced and committed faculty to provide quality industry tuned education to the students. Our graduates have distinguished themselves in higher studies at the IITs and top Universities. They also occupy positions of eminence in the computer industry. Our Alumni remain in constant touch with us and are contributing in the development of the department. Placements for our graduates are the best in the Institute. The Department has state-of-the-art infrastructure and computing equipment supported by high speed Ethernet and wireless networks.
Facilities
The Department lays emphasis on Database and Information Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Graphics, Algorithm Analysis and Design, Operating Systems, and Networking Technologies. Moreover, the state of the art research labs, Workshops, Short Term Course and teaching aids at the department encourages students to get more practical learning experience through industry-integrated projects at B.Tech level courses. The Computer Science Engineering students get a complete exposure to emerging technologies as well as futuristic technologies to gain employment in areas such as Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Theoretical Computer Science, Data Mining, Information systems and Computer Networking.

The department has been provided with following laboratories and workshops fully equipped with equipment and machinery as prescribed in the syllabus.
